This small group program (12-15 skaters) is a result of many of our players requesting sessions to target individual skating and shooting in the spring — and it's now one of our top programs.

 

Our issue was, as many of you know, that we believe players should be playing other sports and doing other activities in the spring to develop as overall athletes and people. We thought this idea of a weekly program on Sunday evenings strikes a good balance! We keep the group numbers limited to keep the repetitions high and instruction personalized.

All sessions will be conducted by program director Toby O'Brien, who will focus on skating, and Nick DelGallo (HC Rhode Island assistant coach, RI Hockey Academy), who specializes in shooting and skills instruction. Players can expect to zero in on the technical aspects of the game with a focus on both skating and shooting skills, and how their individual game can grow. This is not a "conditioning camp" — we're going to be honing your shooting skills and improving your skating base to help you before the summer program kicks in as you prepare for next season.
